Just a quick entry to state our next convention shall be the Leeds Thought Bubble on the 21st November and the next will be in the new year as we're back at the Thing! Having been at the Thought Bubble as simply lovers of comics(that sounds a bit dodgy doesn't it) we're especially excited as we know how great this convention is, especially more so as it was at this convention we decided set up our collective and create our own comics.

It's several months late but here's our update about what happened.

The Thing 2009 - 28th March 09

So it happened, we went, we sold things at the Thing and had a good time too.
Our first convention was as usual an experience both fun and educational. For example 2 boxes filled to the brim and weighing a ton do not make good travel companions, and usually it's not a good idea to walk 2 miles plus carrying them to the hotel or convention.
London was in itself an experience, the underground making us confused and scared, hey where we come from they just go around in a circle, they don't intersect and with the Thing coinciding with scheduled rail improvements meant that our heads were hurting (with planning our journey home on the Sunday especially).
We awoke early on the Saturday scared, nervous and a little vomity and walked our way to the convention cursing our miserly attitudes as we did.
The actual convention seemed to fly by, and it was nice to see people buy our comics and assorted paraphernalia.
Afterwards we went to the after Thing thing, deciding to be ultra smart we left after about 10 minutes so we could in our own words "dump our heavy comic laden boxes" at the hotel and then return. This plan would have gone without a hitch had one of us not reached the hotel, lay on their bed for 2 minutes and then fell asleep for several hours.
Hopefully our next convention will not poop us out so much...

Sadly Hello Aunt Alicia weren't at the zine-o-rama 09 due to printing problems and an exploding computer,*tears in eyes* but will be at the UK web and mini comic Thing 2009 in London at the end of March and will definitely have stuff that you can purchase/waste your moolah on. We'll be at table 13 and will be reveling in the fear of our FIRST convention so pop along and say hello if you wish...
